Lonnie Dewayne Caudill, 54, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 10, 2024.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Lonnie was born in Indianapolis Indiana to Lonnie L. Caudill and Carolyn S. Caudill (Moffitt) on July 7, 1969. He went to Avon High School in Avon, Indiana. He married Irene Turcios in Plainfield, Indiana, on August 9, 2014. He worked as an Assembly Coordinator for Advantage Engineering for 15 years. He also worked as the store manager for Dennys and Cici Pizza for several years. He loved to work with the customers and meet new people. He was the life of any party, and you could count on him to crack jokes and make everyone laugh. If he was making you laugh, Lonnie’s love tank was full. Lonnie's compassion and dedication shone through his role as the founder of the Super Survivor Cancer group. This organization, which he started, aimed to support cancer patients by designing and selling cancer-themed merchandise, with all proceeds going to the Franciscan Cancer Center. His efforts were instrumental in assisting new patients with copays, gas, food, and other essential needs. Lonnie also organized gatherings, providing a platform for survivors to share a meal and fellowship, fostering a sense of community and support. His selflessness and commitment to helping others serve as an inspiration to us all.
Lonnie was preceded in death by Lonnie L Caudill (Father), Samuel & Kathryn Moffitt, Isom Caudill, Bertie Miller (Grandparents), Kimberly Moffitt (Sister-in-law).
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife, Irene Caudill. Son, Lonnie Dale Caudill, and Daughter, Mother Carolyn Caudill (Moffitt), Brother Jim Moffitt, Scott Caudill (Kathy), and Donnie Caudill, Sisters Patsy Schultheis (Tom) and Nikki Oswalt (Joi), Lonnie was blessed to have a deep connection with his extended family. Fita Turcios (Will), Reina Turcios (Armando), Connie Curios, Miguel Andrade, Marisol Turcios, Yesenia Turcios, Jorge Andrade (Bertha). He had 36 nieces and nephews and 26 great-nieces and nephews. He also had three furbabies, Daisy, Cuddles, and Ruby, who were very special to him.
The family of Lonnie Dewayne Caudill would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nadeem Ikhlaque, Anna Ertel NP, and all those who provided care and support during his illness. Your kindness and dedication have been a source of comfort during this difficult time. Your efforts will always be remembered and cherished.
