Lois Jean Weimer

Lois Jean (Pflendler) Weimer,82, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born November 20, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Emerald and Bessie Pflendler.

Lois attended Franklin Central High School and upon her graduation in 1958, she secured a job with Indiana Insurance Company, where she worked for 43 years and achieved the title of Vice-President before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gordon Weimer. They were married on July 19, 1964.

Survivors include her stepsons, David Weimer of New Jersey, and Tom Weimer of Texas. She also had a strong and loving relationship with her neighbors, Jerry, and Deb Kelly for 39 years.

Lois was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church since birth.  She was a member of the church’s choir for many years.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Visitation is Monday, November 20, 2023, 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Kern officiating.

Lois will be laid to rest at Acton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 12442 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46259.
