Linda Stephens

Linda May (Garrett) Stephens, 78, of Colfax, IN was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN surrounded by her dedicated husband and their loving family.

Linda was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 10th, 1945 to Charles and Evelyn (Schaffer) Garrett. She married Michael Stephens on December 27th, 1968 and he survives. Linda spent most of her life as a homemaker, raising their children, and working odd jobs along the way. She and her husband Mike accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts in 1979 and spent the rest of their life together believing and trusting in God. Linda enjoyed helping in caring for her Grandchildren and was always enlightened when her children and grandchildren would pop by their house and stay awhile, always making sure to tell them to come back soon before giving them a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Along with her husband, Linda is survived by her children; Mark (Cliff) Stephens of Frankfort, IN, Angela (Gordon) Reef of Moran, IN, Cindy (Mike) Booher of Colfax, IN, Lisa (Ricky) Harrison of Frankfort, IN, Mick (Sarah) Stephens of Dayton, IN and Jeff (Lacy) Stephens of Frankfort, IN; siblings, Jay (Anita) Garrett of Frankfort, IN and Nancy Steele of Lafayette, IN; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; 3 dog, Mitzy, Buddy and Charlie.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Darlene Carrender, brother, Gene Garrett; and granddaughter, Jill Shelley. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date

She will be remembered for her silly comments, her love for Jesus, and for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
