Linda Mae Anderson

Linda Mae Smith Anderson was born December 29, 1951, in Cottage Grove, Oregon, the middle of three children born to Lindel Frances Smith and Rosie May Hammitt Smith. She died on March 19, 2022, at the Green House Cottages in Carmel, Indiana at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 18 days.
Linda graduated from Sandy High School in Sandy, Oregon in 1970, getting married during the spring of her senior year. She gave birth to her only child, Alyssa, in 1972. She lived in a variety of locations but worked for many years for the state of Oregon as an aide for severely mentally handicapped adults. She retired in 2009 after contracting Guillain Barre syndrome.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her older brother, Norman Smith in 2013.
She is survived by her daughter, Alyssa (Mark) Dunker of Fishers, Indiana; her sister, Lola Clark-Boldman of Willamina, Oregon; grandson, Jacob Dunker of New York, New York; and granddaughter, Bethany Dunker of Fishers, Indiana.
Memorial gifts may be designated to “Ukrainian Refugee Fund” and made payable to Faith Church, 9125 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN, 46240 for disbursement in Ukraine.
Memorial Service will be April 2 at 11am at Faith Church, 9125 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
