Linda G. Olson, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 81 years at her home on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 after a courageous three-year battle with leukemia. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 17, 1939 to German immigrant parents Richard August Geyer and Marie Helene Geyer. She attended Roosevelt Elementary and Longfellow Junior High School, graduating from Wauwatosa High School in 1956. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison graduating in 1960 with a BS degree in Medical Technology. She worked in various hospitals around the country, including Wisconsin, California, Indiana and South Carolina.
She married her high school sweetheart, Stuart John Olson Jr. on April 23, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They lived a full, active and happy life in Milwaukee, South Bend, Indiana and Sumter, South Carolina before moving to their current residence in McCordsville, Indiana.
Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stuart John Olson Jr., their three children, Anne C. McCollum (Bret), Sarah J. Smith (Jeff) and Stuart R. Olson (Paula) and ten grandchildren (Kara, Thomas, Michael, Christina, Katelyn, Grace, Samuel, Owen, Niels and Anders). She is also survived by a younger sister, Marilyn N. Heuser living in Remscheid, Germany. Linda will be missed dearly by all.
A private family service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the church.
