Lida Gayle Fidger (Hufford)

76, of Fishers, passed away November 25, 2022. Born May 31, 1946, in New Castle, IN, to Noel and Fonda Hufford. Lida grew up in New Castle, Indiana, and graduated from Chrysler High School in 1964. Lida was a Ball State graduate where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Lida worked as a registered nurse for her entire career.

Lida was the rock of the family. She loved unconditionally, was at every family event possible, and always was the person to call and shoulder to cry on. She dedicated her life to Jesus Christ thanks to Marge Griffin, who led to her to the Lord. In her free time, she loved to read, spend time with friends, play euchre and swim at the YMCA.

Lida is survived by her two children, Amy Givens and Brian Fidger (Sheryl); four grandchildren Katie Givens, Allison Givens, Christine Fidger, and Isaac Fidger; brother Duane Hufford (Mary Ellen). Lida is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Fonda Hufford. She also will be deeply missed by her sweet dog, Bailey. The family would also like to thank the Nutter family, Dixie Seaver, Rich and Sue Bergstrom, Barb Crimley, and the rest of her loving friends for treating Lida like family. All that you did for her will never be forgotten.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Lida on Saturday December 3, 2022, 3PM-4:30PM for a time to visit with her friends & family at Indiana Funeral Care at 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:30PM.
