Lia Dianne Wessel

Lia Dianne (Guldner) Wessel, 73, Rushville, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024. 

Lia was born on Monday, January 15, 1951, to the late Tulio Gustavo and Nancy Gene (Meloy) Guldner in Indianapolis. She attended and graduated from John Marshall High School, class of 1969 and St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1972. Lia was a Registered Nurse and worked for Community Hospital, Methodist Hospital and Home Health Care as well. 

Lia is survived by her children, Kelly Wessel, and David Wessel; brothers, Kurt (Brenda) Guldner, Richard (Valerie) Guldner; sister, Linda (John) Scott; grandchildren, Daryn Wessel, Kaden Wessel and Maxen Lewis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tulio and Nancy Guldner.

Some of Lia’s joys in life were watching Football, she loved to root for the Colt’s and in more recent years, the Kansas City Chiefs. Her son is a musician, she loved to listen to him play. She loved reading, especially novels. She also loved spending the day with her daughter out shopping together, her Chiweenie puppies and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Memorial visitation is Friday, October 4, 2024, 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Memorial service will begin at 4:00 pm.
