Lewis E. Thomas

Lewis E. Thomas, 88, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Lewis was born in Richmond, Indiana to Stephen & Mary (Pippin) Thomas on February 11, 1935. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1953.

Lewis enjoyed being outdoors and yard work so much he started his own company, C & L Landscaping Service, which he owned for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching and the study of God's Word. Lewis was a man of faith serving as a Deacon at Irvington Seventh-day Adventist Church. He met Keautta Afflerbach at church and they married October 4, 2009.
   
He is survived by his wife, Keautta; his children, Stephen (Rosie) Thomas, Michael Thomas and Jennifer (Ron) Faires. His step-children Cathy (Buzz) Lindel and David White; and Keautta's children. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lewis was preceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul, Howard and Edward; his daughter, Kimberly Cox and step-daughter, Beverly Irons.

A Celebration of Life for Lewis will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 3:00pm at Irvington Seventh-day Adventist Church
