Leslie Ann Jenkins

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, Leslie Ann (Carrell) Jenkins of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on August 29, 2023, at age 62.

Born to Suellen Carey and Ronald Carrell, Leslie spent her childhood cheerleading and performing as a flautist in the Marching Band of Noblesville High School.  She later graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science and spent much of her professional career as a technical writer.

While working, Leslie met the love of her life Kirk Jenkins, with whom she enjoyed 34 years of marriage.  They married at St. Pius X Parish in Indianapolis on July 29, 1989, and two years later their daughter Beverly was born.

Remembered as fiercely loyal to her friends and family, Leslie can best be described as caring, creative, and a “dog mom,” and all that entails.  Leslie enjoyed volunteering her time at Fairbanks Recovery Center and was active in Christ Renews His Parish at her church.  She was also an artist who loved photography, painting, and gardening.  She also enjoyed swimming, dancing, golfing, and running her small business.

Leslie is survived and dearly missed by her husband, Kirk Jenkins; daughter, Beverly Jenkins; mother, Suellen Carey; brother, Kevin (Jennifer) Carrell; aunt, Cleanne (Rich) Sampson; and woman’s best friend – her dog, Tyson.  Please join the family Friday, September 8^th, 2023, with visitation at 2pm, service following at 3pm at Indiana Funeral Care (8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250).
