Leslie (Omar) Howard, 71, of Indianapolis left this earthly life on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born October 24, 1952 in Chicago, IL to Jimmy and Louise Howard, the fourth of five children.
Leslie was educated in the Chicago school system prior to moving to Indianapolis. He played on a little league team in his younger days and received awards. Leslie loved to dance and joke around with anyone he met. He was the entertainer of the family. Leslie loved eating (and humming while he did so). He ate rice with just about everything. Leslie was a skilled laborer, working factory jobs most of his life. He liked riding his bike to many places around the city. Leslie enjoyed sports and music and LOVED to enjoy free concerts downtown. Leslie liked to draw and was ambidextrous. He could draw and throw with either hand. Leslie was an amazing freestyle artist, and could draw anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Louise Howard; one daughter, LaShell Young and a brother, Jerome L. Howard.
Leslie is survived by his son, Leslie (Tijana Perkins-Trotter) Trotter of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Erynisha Young, Haven Young-Jones, Isaiah Malcolm Trotter and Nyah Brooklyn Trotter; sister, Lorraine (E.B.) Tyner; two brothers, Jimmy (Lynn) Walker and Michael (Larryle) Howard of Chicago, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
He will be missed.
