Lemuel H. Miller was born May 25th, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN. His parents were Kenneth Miller and Cornell Plummer. Both of his parents proceeded him in death.
Lemuel was affectionately known as "Buddy" by all his friends and family. He attended Indianapolis public grade schools and he also attended Crispus Attucks High School.
Buddy spend some of his earlier years in Midland, PA with his grandma Myrtle Hood side of the family. Buddy often attended the Church of the New Born Saints.
Buddy retired from environmental services after 60 years.
Buddy enjoyed going to the casino and he loved playing checkers and cards. He spent lots of time at the Lafayette Square mall each week playing cards with friends and the retirees. Buddy often traveled in and out of state for Checker Tournaments. I might add, "he was very good at playing checkers." Lets not forget the ticket houses!!
Buddy was our oldest family member and the historian of our family. Who will we consult now for our family history? He will be sadly missed with many loving memories. Oh, we will not forget his sharp tongue and his quick wit. (smile)

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Timothy D. Miller; one daughter, Michelle W. Miller; four grandchildren, Lakea Ransom, Kennedy Ransom, ShaTea Ransom and Kristopher Ransom; with 10 great grandchildren, he leaves one uncle, Andrew Hood Sr.; one aunt, Roberta "Tiny" Hood-Oatts with a host of other family members and friends.
