Lecester Jackson

June 1, 1948 — December 2, 2020

Lecester Lee Jackson, the eldest son of Darest and Arthur Hall began his journey seventy-two years ago on June 1, 1948 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Lee’s soul always shined bright starting from an early age; an ambitious and intellectual soul from a young age excelling in his studies at Shortridge High School and becoming Dean of Pledges at Indiana University where he majored in Business and Police Administration.
Lee turned his love for business into a passion, becoming a successful sales executive for both Wish TV (CBS Affiliate) and WTHR (ABC Affiliate) which led him to become Vice President of sales at WCEI. Lee never let grass grow for long, becoming owner of WCEI Channel 32 and President of WPZZ radio. Lee’s professional career carried him many places including time with C.A.G.I (Community Action of Greater Indianapolis) and retiring from Jackson, Romerhaus, and Associates. Nonetheless, it was his work as a teacher within the Warren Central school district and Ball State university that he found most rewarding!
Lee would describe one of the best moments of his life being the day he met his, best friend, companion and soul mate Judy Jackson while on summer break from Indiana University. Lee and Judy’s love spanned over 50 year and was truly ordained by God. Lee genuinely loved and appreciated Judy, always making her feel valued, and loved. Their love is a great example of the teamwork and commitment to one another through overcoming obstacles and hurdles handed to them.
Lee and Judy’s union produced one child, Noelle Darest Jackson. Noelle or “punky” was his greatest achievement. He was her biggest cheerleader, always in her corner whether he was supporting her in school, refereeing the soccer fields, or coaching her on the basketball courts. He enjoyed every moment of being a father to his one and only daughter.
Lee received Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, but recently renewed his passion when he joined Life Journey Church.
Lee always treated everyone the same, from the janitor all the way to a CEO of a company. He was kind and caring to all.
Lee Jackson departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was proceeded in death by his loving parents Arthur and Darest Hall, his beloved sister Elva “Reyna” Jackson, and his eldest nephew Anthony “Tony” Brents.
Lee leaves to cherish his memory his Spouse of 50 years Judy Jackson, Daughter Noelle D. Jackson (Velassa), Aunt Josephine Liggins, Brother Michael (Donna) Hall, Sister Delores (Peter) Ryan, Nieces Valerie (Bill) Miller, Tammie Hall, Amber Brents and Princess Brinkley. Nephews Shawn Hall, Joshua Hall, Great Nephews Jarek Brents, and William Miller III, Great Nieces Janiah Driver, Bailee Miller, and Autumn Miller. He also leaves to cherish his memory his faithful canine companion Hercules the dog, and a host of friends and extended family.
