Lauren Nicole Trapp, a resident of Indianapolis, passed away on December 25, 2021. She was a graduate of Warren Central High School (WCHS), where she earned her CNA certification through the school’s Walker Career Center. She was previously enrolled at Ivy Tech to begin work on her RN credential. Lauren worked as a CNA/PCT for Witham Hospital, St. Vincent’s, and Indiana University Health. She delivered patient care with warmth, compassion, and kindness. It was this dedication that earned her a Daisy Award in 2019 and the Healthcare Hero award in 2020. She liked to craft and draw utilizing artistic talents she inherited from her maternal grandmother, even teaching herself how to knit. Lauren loved the ocean and collecting shells to keep in jars. Murphy, her large and rambunctious Chesapeake Bay retriever, was a joy in her life and she loved to play with him. As a child, she was silly and fun. Lauren’s various nicknames included Loopy and Goofy. She also cared for several small pets growing up, including goldfish and little dwarf hamsters. Lauren will be missed by many family and friends, but we will see her again in the life beyond this one. Lauren is survived by her mother (Leslie Trapp), her father (Russ Trapp), paternal grandmother (Bonnie Trapp), her sister (Charlene Leake), brother-in-law (Spencer Leake), two nephews, two nieces, a niece to be born in 2022, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
