Larry Wayne Searcy, 68, passed away on August 5th 2022. He was a graduate of Whiteland Community High School and attended Purdue University. He was married to Tammara Lee Searcy for 32 years. He is survived by his two children Matthew (Tammy) Ryan Searcy and Emily (David) Grace Flynn, grandchild Elias Wayne Flynn, and brother Keith (Jacque) Alan Searcy. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Lyman Searcy and Frances Evelyn Searcy (Graves).
Larry displayed his craftsmanship by building his own home in Clark township and restoring wrecked cars as a body man at Searcy Auto Body Shop in Greenwood Indiana.
He enjoyed many hobbies and sports in his lifetime. He played basketball and football in high school. He continued to play basketball in adult mens leagues into his late thirties. He enjoyed hunting, especially pheasant hunting with his springer spaniel companion. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing golf and playing pool.
He was known for his deep voice and was happy to sing a song for anyone who wanted to hear. He was a believer in Christ and is surely singing now with the angels.
A private service will be held for immediate family members.
