Kyle Steven Harter, 36, passed away on April 30, 2024, at his home in Ingalls, IN. He was born on January 20, 1988, to Michael M. Harter and Paula K. (Moores) Harter in Indianapolis, IN. After completing his education, Kyle worked a variety of jobs, but most enjoyed his time as a chef and being able to prepare meals for others. Along with his work, Kyle also had many joys in life, especially the Indianapolis 500 since he grew up right by the racetrack. Kyle was simply the kindest, never angry, very giving, most positive (glass half full) person you’d ever want to meet.
Kyle is survived half-siblings, Tracy Kirkpatrick Palmer (Rodney), Robert Allen Harter (Jessica), and David Michael Harter; bonus mother Cindy Staley Harter, bonus brother Tobey Zehr (Heather), bonus sister Kitrina Wright (Brian), uncles, Courtland Moores (Jill), Merrill Moores (Cathy) and Blair Myers (Myrna) and his aunts Marilyn Moores, Candace Marendt. He is also survived by his adopted friends, Joel and Brianne Craig, who became like siblings to Kyle. His relationship with their son Tyler was a particular joy in Kyle’s life as well as Tyler’s sister Halee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael M. & Paula K. Harter and his grandmother Martha Jo Moores.
A burial will be on June 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229
