Kevin (Thanh) Van Nguyen (49) of Fishers, passed away at Riverview Hospital on April 5, 2020 from Cardiac Arrest just after 1:30pm. Born in Angian, Vietnam on June 16, 1970, Kevin came to the US in 1989 with his parents and seven younger siblings. Kevin was later naturalized as a US Citizen on February 5th, 2009.
Kevin is survived by his wife Hoa (Helen) Le, his sons Tony and Chonny, daughters Sabrina and Tina, and granddaughter Soonie.
Kevin and Helen married on October 19th, 1993. Kevin was a loving husband, beloved father, and successful business owner. Kevin was very driven and dedicated to his work and family. A kindhearted minimalist by nature, he gave everything he had to his family while asking for nothing in return. To ensure his kids had a bright future, he worked more than 80 hours a week, seldom taking a day off. His hard work and dedication were evident in everything he did. He enjoyed working with his hands, and there was nothing he couldn’t fix or re-purpose.
On the rarest of occasions, when he did take a break, Kevin could be found fishing and tending to his garden. His absolute favorite thing to do, however, was preparing a meal and eating with his family. He loved to cook, and though he always joked that his food should be served in a restaurant, it was intentionally prepared just for his family to enjoy -- many of our most cherished memories happened around the dinner table.
Though Kevin left the world too soon, his will lives on in his family and friends.
You’ve always put your family first; it’s time you took care of yourself. We love and miss you, Kevin, and we hope that you may rest in peace.
