Kermit Lee Corbin, age 81, of Plainfield, Indiana passed away at 6:41 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital in Danville, Indiana. He was born to the late Kermit Kramer and Frieda Fern (Jeffers) Corbin on September 8, 1938 in Linton, Indiana.
Kermit honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from June 29, 1956 to April 12, 1958. He was Produce Manager at Standard Grocery for over 30 years. Kermit also worked as an Uber Driver part time. He belonged to Speedway Moose Lodge.
Kermit is survived by his son, Kevin Lee Corbin of Cloverdale, Indiana; his sister, Judy Greene and her husband George of Kyle, Texas; his nephew, Billy Greene and his wife Kathy of Austin, Texas; his granddaughter, Nikki Lee Corbin; his great granddaughter, Abby Shadday of Shelbyville, Indiana; and his adopted granddaughter Katelyn Atwell of West Plains, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Kermit was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He never met a stranger. Kermit could carry on a conversation with anyone. He will be deeply missed. No services will be held.
