Kenneth Douglas Simpson

Kenneth Douglas Simpson was born in Indianapolis, on May 27, 1957. He was the only child of Iven D. and Marie Simpson. Kenneth attended Mount Zion Baptist Church where he professed his love for the Lord and was baptized at an early age.

He attended IPS 64 from 1965 to 1972. Kenneth completed the Jr ROTC program and graduated Arlington High school in 1975 where he developed his love for electronics. He also loved baseball. He had many awards and trophies from his time playing. He also loved to draw.

Kenneth joined the military and served his country for 9 years in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged as an E4 specialist.

He loved to travel and was very family oriented. Family was everything to him, especially his grandchildren. He loved family card night. where bid whist was a favorite game. and loved family card night playing bid whist. Kenneth loved his Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Los Angeles Lakers. He also loved to barbecue.

Kenneth left us on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Darlene Simpson; his 4 children, Nathan Goode, Nicole Simpson, Sasha Duerson, and Kendall Simpson; and his 3 grandchildren, Shayla Jordon, Taviar Duerson, and Uniya Duerson. He will be dearly missed by all who have had the chance to know him.
