Kenneth B King

Kenneth Bruce King passed away on June 27, 2023, in Indianapolis Indiana surrounded by family. He was born In Indianapolis on August 25, 1946, to his parents Ivan and Virginia (Stevens) King. He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1964. After a brief career at Allison’s division of General Motors, he began a carpenter apprenticeship. Once that was completed, he began working for Wilhelm construction as a foreman.

Kenneth had many activities that he enjoyed doing. He loved to play banjo and work on small engines. He was also an active member of True Apostolic Church of Pendleton. Kenneth also loved travelling to Tennessee and visiting family, fishing hunting, and gardening.

Kenneth is survived by his siblings Roger (Judy) King, Keith (Pat) King, Stewart (Brenda) King, Brian (Amanda) King, Duane King, Kimberly (Ken) Healy; children LeAnn (Chad) McCord and Skylar King; grandchildren Jonathan and Addy McCord, Hudson King; special friend Patty; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Virginia and Ivan King, brother Dennis King, and daughter Christina Barnes.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis IN 46250. Visitation will be on Saturday 7/1/2023 from 4pm to 6pm with a funeral service beginning at 6pm.
