Kelly J Cross (nee Grow) passed away unexpectedly on November 4th, 2024 at her residence. She was born on January 22, 1969. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Delma Covington and grandfather Cecil Scott; her mother, Donna Scott; her sister, Deanna Mathis; her aunt Debbie, her uncles Randy and Forrest, and her nephew Dakota. She is survived by her father, Tim Grow; her sons, Carl Mathis, Jacob Mathis, and Dylan Morron; her daughter, Sarah Key; her sisters, Jessica Cummings and Hope Grow; her brothers, Stevie Cummings and Timmy Grow, and all of her wonderful grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was strong, resilient, a real trooper, and a beautiful soul that deserved so much more in life than she was able to receive. She took the good with the bad and always found strength in any situation. If anything was impossible she always found a way to make it happen. She had so many friends and acquaintances that you couldn't go anywhere without running into someone she knew. She might not have known it, but she was so important to so many people.
She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with family, pretend play with her granddaughters baby dolls because she was the best baby sitter, oh and lets not forget she was the Candy Crush queen. Most of all, we think she enjoyed being the glue that held us all together no matter what that might have looked like. Nothing in life is easy, especially losing a loved one but she would have wanted us to remember all of the good times and all of the possible, positive memories. She will be missed by so many and even with the short time she had in this world she will spend eternity with never ending happiness and peace and that's all anyone could ever ask for.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care Greenwood, Indiana on Monday, November 18, 2024. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mark Petty officiating.
