Fishers, IN – Kelly C. (Wheeler) Chesebrough age 42, passed peacefully on October 9, 2019, at her home with her family at her side, after a long struggle with cancer.
Born in Beech Grove on April 20, 1977, she was the daughter of Thomas Wheeler and the late Cindy (Droeger) Wheeler.
Kelly graduated from Shelbyville High School and Ball State University before earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Indiana University. Kelly worked as a social worker and school counselor before taking on her toughest and most rewarding job as the mother to her four sons.
Kelly treasured all the wonderful times spent with her boys, family, and friends. Although she never gave up, Kelly focused on living joyfully and said she was at peace having had a full life. She wanted to thank all of her kind-hearted friends, doctors, and nurses for supporting her through this journey.
Kelly is survived by her four sons Thomas, Griffin, Lucas, and Max, husband Michael Chesebrough, Jr., father Thomas V. Wheeler, step-mother Janet (Wisker) Wheeler, grandmother Alice Wheeler, mother-in-law Nelda Chesebrough, father-in-law Michael Chesebrough, Sr. along with extended family and dear friends.
She is preceded by her mother Cindy (Droeger) Wheeler, grandfather Thomas J. Wheeler, and maternal grandparents Mary Droeger, and grandfather Richard Droeger.
A visitation celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, October 16th from 12 to 3 PM at Indiana Funeral Care. The funeral service will immediately follow with Father Dan Gartland officiating.
