Keith Richard Allen, 52, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, with his wife, Susan, and daughter, Carrington, by his side. Born on January 20, 1972, Keith was raised in Grover, NC, and graduated from Kings Mountain High School.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Lela Allen. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 23 years, Susan; their children, Allison Wetzel (Robert), William Dekker, Hunter Allen, and Carrington Allen; and two cherished grandchildren, Eleanor and Robert Wetzel. He also leaves behind his brother, Rex Allen (Sharon); sister, Penny Buchanan (Brian); and his loyal dogs, Betty and Hazel. He also had a special connection with his father-in-law, John Paris, who he has been helping care for the past few years and his brothers-in-law Rob Paris (Heather) and David Paris (Shelley).
A lifelong lover of baseball, Keith grew up playing the game and later shared his passion with his family. One of his greatest joys was traveling with Carrington to visit baseball stadiums across the country, with Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles, holding a special place in his heart.
Keith's work ethic was unmatched, and he took immense pride in his career, leading by example and earning the respect of colleagues and friends.
Recently, Carrington introduced him to the world of Taylor Swift, and to everyone's surprise, he embraced it wholeheartedly, proudly becoming a "Swiftie". This shared love of music brought them even closer, creating cherished memories that Carrington will hold dear forever.
The family will host a drop-in visitation on January 18, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Rob and Heather Paris's home, 1725 Lost Tree Lane, Charlotte, NC.
