Keith Alan Millison, 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born to Arthur D. Millison and Dorothy (Clark) Millison on February 26, 1940 in Takoma Park, MD. He was the beloved husband of Mary Emily Bosley whom he married on June 9, 1961. They shared 60 wonderful years together. He was the amazing father to two daughters and a proud “PopPop” to five grandsons and two great grandchildren. Daughter Karen (Keith) Thomas. Her sons are Tyler (Katie) Thomas, Bryan (Jessica) Thomas, and Kyle (Rebekah) Thomas. His beautiful great grandchildren are Aurora Thomas (2) and Elijah Thomas (6 weeks). Daughter Katherine (Les) Kimball. Her sons are Geoffrey Kimball and Matthew Kimball.
Keith began his career at IBM in 1961, as a graphic artist designing publications for the Federal Systems Division and, later, designing booths for trade shows. He retired from IBM after 30 years of service in 1991. In retirement, he enjoyed painting and selling his folk art at various craft shows and developed quite a following. He loved doing projects around the house, going to antique shops, visiting Williamsburg and spending time with his family and grandkids. He and Mary were at every high school and college graduation, many birthdays, concerts, and sports events, every wedding, and many other family occasions.
Keith and Mary were members of Forcey Bible Church in Silver Spring, MD for over 50 years. He loved singing in the choir and was a member of “The Miscellaneous Men.” They moved to Fishers, IN in 2014 and became members of Castleview Church in Indianapolis. He was part of a fellowship group and a Saturday morning men’s group. Keith enjoyed the friendships made and the Bible centered teaching.
He loved cats and enjoyed many through the years. Family and friends came to know and love his sense of humor and easygoing, kind demeanor. He enjoyed cars and watching sports. He loved a good cup of coffee, a donut and his easy chair. Keith lived his faith daily and was secure in his salvation through Christ’s work on the cross and had the unshakeable hope of heaven. He leaves a beautiful spiritual legacy of love for God’s Word and how to love your family to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
