Kathryn Josephine Poulimas

Kathryn Poulimas, aged 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025. Born to Kenneth and Mary Peyton West on October 25, 1935, Kathryn lived a life full of love, wisdom, and joy, which she shared with her family, friends, and beloved pets.

She is survived by her children, David Schaefer and Dianne Huntzinger, and her grandchildren, Jessica Schaefer and Brooke Schaefer, Brad Huntzinger (Anne Huntzinger), Brian Huntzinger, and Blake Huntzinger. Kathryn was a devoted mother and grandmother, always cherishing her family and their time together.

Kathryn had a great passion for gardening, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing her plants. She was also an aid reader, always with a book in hand. For the last eight years, her cat, Tucker, was her constant companion and source of comfort.

A memorial service will be held at Friedens Church of Christ in the spring, with the date to be determined. The family invites all who knew and loved Kathryn to join them in celebrating her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society in her honor, reflecting her love for animals. Kathryn’s legacy of kindness, warmth, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
