Kathleen Mae Pete

Kathleen Mae Pete, 89, passed away on December 8, 2024, at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on February 4, 1935, in Gary, IN to the late, Michael Horvath and Elizabeth (Zubrick) Horvath. 

Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who treasured her family and many friends. Kathleen found joy in a long list of hobbies including cooking, baking, specializing in wedding cakes and volunteering in her church’s kitchen. She was a gifted crafter with her creative passion best seen in her numerous award-winning sewing, embroidery, quilting, and knitting projects. 

Kathleen is survived by her son, Daniel (Linda) Pete; grandson, Ryan Pete; granddaughter, Alysanne Pete; and granddaughter, Kristin (Christopher Holland) Rendina; great-grandson, John Daniel “JD” Pete; great-grandsons, Triston Spencer and Cooper Holland; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as one great-granddaughter on the way. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Pete; her parents, Michael Horvath and Elizabeth Horvath; as well as her brothers, Robert Horvath and John Horvath. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Helen’s Church or a charity of choice this Christmas season. 

Services for Kathleen will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 302 N. Madison St. Hebron, IN 46341. Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am at the church prior to services.
