Kathleen Bowman, 94 of Avon, passed away on September 16, 2022.
Kathleen was born on August 12, 1928 in Greenwood, Indiana to the late Fred and Hazel Vest.
Kathleen was the president of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) from 1962-1963 and was responsible for bringing the charter to Indianapolis. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Kathleen enjoyed quilting, vacationing to tropical destinations, taking pictures, and in her early years, she loved being on the lake and water skiing. She loved cats, a good hair appointment, her friends, and most of all, her family.
Kathleen is survive by her son, Matthew (Connie) Bowman, stepchildren, D. Michael (Pamela) Bowman and Susan Felzner; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bowman, step-daughter, Lynn Marganti; and parents, Fred and Hazel Vest.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at White Lick Cemetery in Avon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to INDY NAWIC, 825 N. Capital Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
