Karen Sue Pallikan was a loving wife, mother, Mimi, great Mimi, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world peacefully on January 1, 2022, at age 77.
She was born to James and Garnet Wagner on January 21, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduating from Manual High School, she married handsome tuba player and Army private, Ronny W Pallikan, in 1963. Together, they had 3 children: Scott, Robert (Ana), and Rebekah (Jake O’Brien). They also had 7 grandchildren: Riley (Lisa), Chandler, Katie, Gabriela, Zayra, Ava, and Alexandra, and one great grandchild, Luca.
Karen worked in office administration for many years and especially enjoyed her time as a decorator consultant for Home Interiors. She loved spending time making any place her family lived a beautiful and welcoming home, as well as spoiling her grandbabies. There was never too much screen time or enough sugar in her house to the delight of her grandchildren. She enjoyed brightening up friends’ and loved ones’ special occasions with hand-made cards that she filled with her bright and cheerful spirit. She was her children’s most fervent supporter; even during her last days, her concerns lay primarily with their welfare as they visited her in the hospital instead of her own well-being. She is now joyfully reunited with Ronny who preceded her in death, and in the loving arms of Jesus.
Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Indiana Funeral Care at 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250; no formal service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Outreach Inc. (www.outreachindiana.org).
