Karen D. Low (Richardson, Hollingsworth, Patty), 55, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 27, 2021, with family by her side. She was happily married with two fur babies, she also had three children and four grandchildren, who she loved with all of her heart.
Karen was born in Los Angeles, California on June 16th, 1966 to Jack Richardson and Carolyn Davis (Campbell). Her parents preceded her in death. Along with her second husband, Tom Patty, their son Andrew Patty, and a long list of good friends.
Karen attended high school at Hamilton Heights in Arcadia, Indiana. She worked in many different fields throughout her life but was most known as a bartender throughout Lawrence. Not only could she make one hell of a drink, and pour your beer just right, she could drink most under the table with her eyes closed. Even though she held a degree in Accounting, she loved being around the crowd. She was always the life of the party, and had one hell of a sense of humor. She could get a laugh out of anyone anytime. She loved to travel, but her favorite and what she most looked forward to, was the annual trip with the girls to Florida every May. She treasured those trips!! Karen also loved her Indianapolis Colts, you could bet if they were playing, she was watching, and was probably taking some poor soul's money at the same time. She had a huge love for crafts, she was always tinkering with something new to do. Everything from sewing, embroidery, painting figurines or ceramics, and her latest was diamond painting. She always poured so much time and love into everything she made. She had many interests and would just about try anything once. She even went skydiving and loved it. Karen loved spending time with family and friends, but she was more than happy to sit at home watching hours of Big Bang Theory or 2 ½ Men and scratching scratchies aka lottery tickets.
In addition to her husband Gregg Low, their fur babies Bella and Gizmo. Karen is survived by her Daughter, Brandalyn (John) Gragg, grandchildren Brandon Adams and Abigail Gragg. Her Son, Nathan Hollingsworth (Erin Buis) and grandson Ethan Hollingsworth, and her Granddaughter from Andrew, Alana Parmer. Her siblings, Greg Richardson, Trista Allison, and Matt Jeffery. Karen also had a very large number of siblings on her daddy's side.
Karen was loved by so many!! She made a lot of friends over the years and if you had the chance to meet her you know she was very much One Of A Kind!! She will be greatly missed by many! Let us take solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and she had an army of angels waiting for her on the other side. May she rest in peace.
The family has entrusted Indiana Funeral Care with Karen's care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family would rather contributions be made to VFW post 261, a place very close to Karen's heart.
