Julie Ann Spencer-Bartle, age 55, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully at home on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020. Her husband, sister, and fur babies were by her side.
Julie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her countless number of friends, her family, her husband and son and his family, especially her grandchildren that she cherished with all of her heart. She also leaves behind a brokenhearted puppy dog Elsea and five beloved kitty cats.
Julie will be remembered for her huge heart and expression of love through her amazing baking and cooking skills. Her pies, cakes, and homemade noodles will be greatly missed. Her door was always open and everyone was welcome especially on holidays. She gave of herself selflessly and expected nothing in return. She is so greatly missed by so many.
Julie was preceded in death by her dad, James Spencer. Her sister is pretty sure Julie died first on purpose to settle a long running bet about who was Dad's favorite. She is also preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Julie is survived by her loving and patient husband Jeff Bartle and his parents. Her son Matthew (Kendall) Jaffe of Westfield, IN and grandchildren Chase and Collins. Her big sister Peggy (Dean) Anderson of Carmel, IN and nieces Katie Anderson of Denver, CO and Rachel Brewis of Carmel, IN and nephews Jake (Ari) Brewis of Carmel, IN and Sam (Sarah) Brewis of WestfieId, IN. Her mother Margaret Spencer of Indianapolis, IN. And lifelong friends Karen Tyree Gaertner and Susie Jones along with countless more friends including her group of girlfriends that knew her as honey badger.
A special thank you to all for the messages, prayers, and offers of support. As soon as circumstances permit a celebration of Julie's life will be held. If you wish to make a donation in her name please choose a favorite animal charity such as FACE or the humane society.
