Judith E. Thompson

Judith E "Judy" Thompson, 84, died February 17, 2025, at home with family. She was born March 16, 1940, in Frankfort, Indiana, the daughter of Ray D. Dunford and Beulah M. Dunford (Faust). She was joined in marriage to Loren G Thompson on February 2, 1958.

Judy graduated from Frankfort High School, Class of 1957. She went on to work for 36 years as a secretary. She worked 31 of those years for Greenfield Central School System retiring in 2003. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafting, and visiting with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Bradley Methodist Church, Psi Iota Xi, and Greenfield County Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Dunford, sister-in-law, Alice Dunford, a sister, Shirley Russell, a brother-in-law, John Kollman and Rachel Theurer. Surviving in addition to her husband are her sister, Patty Kollman, brother-in-law, Dave Russell, three daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Slaughter, Laura (Dean) Theurer, Sandy (Teresa) Thompson, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be scheduled sometime in the future when family and friends can join to share their memories. For those that wish to remember Judy in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Bradley Methodist Church or Greenfield Public Library.
