Judith Diane (Blew) Ramey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on September 16, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Betty (Wilson) Blew and Ora Blew, Judi lived a life full of love, service, and dedication to those she held dear.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert; her children, Eric Ramey and Damara (Ramey) Mitchell; and her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Raymee, Jonah, Brody, Lydia Diane and Morgan (predeceased). She is also remembered by her siblings, Donna Hammel, Gary Blew, Michael Blew, and Gwendolyn (Blew) Rice.
From a young age, Judi’s heart was captivated by music and travel. She had an innate curiosity about the world and a passion for exploring its beauty, which she loved to share with others by organizing meaningful trips. Whether researching destinations or writing about new places to discover, Judi’s love of travel knew no bounds. Her most cherished moments were when she could create lasting memories for others through her thoughtful travel plans.
Judi’s compassion extended beyond her family. She devoted much of her life to serving others. Her time as a Stephen Minister and Grief Share teacher gave her the opportunity to walk alongside those experiencing some of life’s hardest moments, offering support, prayer, and encouragement. Judi’s faith was a central part of her life, and she was a prayer warrior who believed deeply in the power of God and her savior Jesus Christ.
A lover of music, Judi studied opera at Ball State University and helped establish the radio station WQME at Anderson University. She found joy singing with the "Sweet Adelines" during her time in Tehran, Iran, with her young family. In addition to her musical pursuits, Judi worked at the Indiana State School for the Deaf.
Judi was known for her vibrant personality, her ability to listen and encourage, and her deep love for God. She was outgoing, passionate, and truly a champion for her family. She fought bravely through many health battles over the last 25 years, always with the mantra, "It’s worth the fight and God is good."
A memorial service to celebrate Judi’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 12 at 11:00 AM at Church At The Crossing, 9111 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
