Judith C. Hayden (née Duncan) passed away at the age of 76 on January 1, 2022, in Indianapolis, IN due to complications related to heart disease.
Judi was born on October 22, 1945, in Evansville IN to her parents, Ralph and Electa Duncan. Judi was raised in Evansville where she graduated from Bosse High School as well as attended Evansville College and Deaconess School of Nursing. After her marriage to Robert Hayden, she moved to Indianapolis where she worked in the medical technology field until her retirement in 2008. After she retired, she was active at her church St. Luke’s UMC in various Care Ministries including Stephen’s Ministry and most recently working with Chef on the kitchen team.
Judi was an avid reader and never had a book far from hand. She was also a pet lover and gave her heart to rescue animals many times over including Boo, Cooper, Velcro and most recently Rocco who will find a new home with her daughter.
Judi is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Paul Logsdon and their children Liam and Noah Logsdon; her sister Anne Duncan Goldberg; her brother, David Duncan; her mother, Electa Duncan and her nephew, Clay Springer. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Duncan and her beloved aunt, Lorraine Hillman.
Services for Judi will take place on January 15 at Indiana Funeral Care in Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 12-1:00pm with a memorial service following. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Judi’s life.
