On Friday, June 11, 2021, Judith Ann McLean, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 77.
Judy was born on January 10, 1944, in Niles, MI to George and Marian (Rice) Hoadley. She attended Adrian College in Michigan where she was an active member of the Tri Sigma Sorority and met her future husband. In May of 1966, she received her BA in Elementary Education.
On July 2, 1966, she married D. Michael McLean. They raised one son, Christopher, and three daughters, Michelle, Jenny (late), and Julie.
Judith started her career as an elementary school teacher and in the Detroit area. After moving to Indianapolis she continued teaching, eventually working as a preschool teacher for nearly 3 decades before retiring to enjoy being a mother, grandmother, and eventually great-grandmother. She spent her life enriching the lives of children, and that is her true legacy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at the Indiana Funeral Care Chapel located at 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
