Joseph Earl Worland was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 18, 1965. Joseph passed away peacefully at the age of 58 on September 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Heather Worland, step-son Weslee Wilson; mother and step-father, Judy and William Coleman Jr.; daughters Katlyn Worland and Amanda Dean (Logan); brother Tony Worland; sister Michelle Paskett - Tyo ( Don and Jason); half siblings Leroy Smith (Magdalena), Damon Smith (Kayla), Aaron Coleman (Ashley), Sarah Coleman (Max); step-sisters Kathryn Coleman, Elizabeth Kemp (Eramus), Margaret Coleman (Yannick); granddaughters Charlee Rayne and Paxtyn Louise Dean; Julie Worland (mother of Katlyn and Amanda) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joseph graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and studied at IU Indianapolis. He worked for Eli Lilly and Company, Frakes Engineering Inc., Graybar and other companies throughout his career. He enjoyed golf, the outdoors and had recently began pursuing his love of fishing. Joseph was intelligent and quick-witted with a unique sense of humor. He was a kind and generous soul who knew no strangers. Joseph was forever the optimist and truly believed that the next day would be better than the last. His daughters and granddaughters were the joy of his life and he deeply loved them.
Visitation for Joseph will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Indiana Funeral Care - 2433 E. Main St, Greenwood, IN 46143 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Memorial service will follow. Please join family and friends as they gather to celebrate the life of Joseph Worland. May his last journey and resting place be one of peace and joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
