Joseph C. Heiny, 66, Martinsville, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at his home.

He was born on Wednesday, July 7, 1954 to Raymond and Bertha (Ferguson) Heiny in Martinsville, Indiana.

Joseph was a 1972 graduate of Martinsville High School. He worked at Allison’s Chevy/GM in production until his retirement in 2006. He was an avid coon hunter and trapper. He competition hunted and competition bench showed. He also loved Sprint car racing. Joseph was loved by many, he had a big, giving heart. He loved his children and grandchild more than anything.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Heiny; grandparents, Charles and Hazel Heiny, Hubert and Dorothy Ferguson.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Bertha Heiny; daughter, Jozie Lee; son J.R. Heiny; granddaughter, Grace Lee; sister, Pam Russell; brother, Steve Heiny; and many nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.

Visitation is Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at River Valley Christian Church 4295 Egbert Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151.

Memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm.
