Johnna Stansberry, 61 of Kokomo, Indiana passed away peacefully at 7:10 a.m. on June 15, 2022. She was born to Kenneth and Nancy (Dallmann) Stansberry in Fairmount, West Virginia, March 27,1961. In 1965, Johnna moved with her family to Kokomo where she was raised by her parents, Kenneth and Joyce Stansberry. She was a graduate of Haworth high school class of 1979. In 1981 Johnna met the love of her life Barbara McIntire and together raised a son Jaime McIntire, who survives.
For Forty years Johnna served the community of Kokomo as a pizza maker and was well known and loved by all of her customers, coworkers and especially her family. Most of her forty years as a pizza maker were spent working at Pizza King on the north west side of Kokomo. In 1988 she was the first woman to pass the Kokomo firefighters agility test. Johnna could always be counted on for an encouraging word, a smile, a hug or a joke to those who were fortunate enough to know her loving and generous heart. She enjoyed watching Chicago Bears football games, playing cards with her friends, holidays and any activity that would cause those that she loved to gather.
Johnna was preceded in death by her lifelong partner and spouse, Barbara McIntire, brother Micheal Stansberry, father Kenneth Stansberry, uncle Thomas Stansberry, and aunt Carol Shutt .
She is survived by her mother Joyce Stansberry, special niece Hannah Stansberry, son Jaime McIntire, sisters Jennifer Stansberry, Kathleen James and husband Jim, Sister in law Tracy McCartney and spouse, daughter in law Andrea McIntire, grandchildren Kenneth and Lillian McIntire, Uncles Ken Shutt, Dennis Hall and wife Mary, Mick Hall, Aunts Nioka Rotter, Cecelia Stansberry, Cousins Terry Chalute and husband Mark, Diana Stansberry and husband Kiah Sando, Christina Avery and husband Chris, Sara Shutt and fiancé Sungjin, Nathan Shutt and fiance Courtney, Courtnay Avery, Taylor Stansberry and husband Nick Matthews, nieces Mary, Jessie, and Tara, Nephews Jacob and Brandon and many great nieces and great nephews. All of which held a very special place in Johnna's life. Family is planning a celebration of life ceremony which will be held at a time and date that has yet to be determined.
