John Stephen Priest

John was born November 24, 1950, in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Melvin Leon Priest and Edna Mae (Albin) Priest. He was the youngest of five children.
He was a 1970 graduate of Crawfordsville High School in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
In June of 1970 John married his first wife and had two children Benjamin John Priest and Lorelei Dee (Priest) Woods.
In February of 1983 John married the love of his life, Hazel Wilson. They were married for over 36 years at the time of his death.
John is survived by his wife Hazel Priest, his children, Ben (April) Priest and Lori (Tramell) Woods. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Russell (Shelli) Wilson, Bruce (Rene) Wilson,
Pam (James) Harmon, Brian (Melody) Wilson, and Audrey (Wilson) Soot . Plus 17 various grandchildren and about 18 various great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents (Melvin and Mae), brother David Priest, sister Nancy Priest, brother George Priest, sister Linda (Priest) Jackson, stepdaughter Patty and stepson Tim Wilson.
John had worked for the Center Grove Schools Transportation Department as a Special Needs Bus Driver for almost the last 20 years.
He exceled at his job. He loved his work, the students and his bus family.
Prior to his bus driving days, he was entertainment venue owner and restaurant manager.
In his time away from work, John was a Colts fan, a family man and dedicated to the care of his wife.
A memorial will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Impact Christian Church in Franklin, Indiana
