John Lester Sharp Sr.

John Lester Sharp Sr.,73, passed away on August 9, 2024, in Kokomo, IN. John was born on May 1, 1951 in Kokomo, IN, to Lester O. Sharp and Sarah J. Sharp.

John graduated from Kokomo High School in 1969 and went on to earn a certificate in Auto Mechanics from Ford Motor Co. Later he owned Neon Johns Racing Collectibles and restored Corvettes from the ground up.

John married Vickie (York) Sharp on August 26, 1969. They were blessed with one child, John Jr, wife Kimberly ( nee Taylor) Sharp, Lafayette, IN. 

John was best known for building show cars, most recently a blown '55 Chevy. 

He is survived by his wife, Vickie; his son, John Jr. (Kim); grandchildren, Sarah (Zavier) Colon, Abigail (fiancé Dakota Lawley) Sharp, and Austin Taylor; and great granddaughter, Charlotte; brother, Thomas (Kym) Sharp; sisters, Pamela (Roger) Brugh and Nancy (Terry) Lee; sister-in-law, Kay Warren; brother-in-law, John York; and many other family members and friends. John was preceded in death by his father and mother, and his brother, Steven Sharp.
