John Robert Eakle Jr.

July 20, 1966 — January 22, 2022

John Robert Eakle Jr. "Bubba", 55 of Indianapolis, entered the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 22, 2022. John was employed at XPO Logistics where he was a trainer and driver.

John loved the Lord, his wife, his family, and his friends with all his heart. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, anything else outdoors, blasting loud music, and getting a kick out of rocking the neighborhood.

John loved his country, honored those who served, and always prayed and believed for righteous leadership.

John is survived by his loving wife, Carrie (Slaughter) Eakle; sons, John R. III (Samantha), Levi Clayton, and Jesse Reed; mother, Linda (Rush) Eakle; brothers, Paul R. (Daronda) and Tim L. (Lori); sisters, Kandy Mitchell and Carol (Aaron) Connor; two beautiful granddaughters, Addison and Emma; as well as many other family members and friends.

John is preceded in death by his father, Pastor John R. Eakle Sr. and his brother, Joshua R. Eakle.

Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm on Friday, January 28, 2022, at New Life Tabernacle Church, 1609 Norton Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, January 29, 2022, beginning at 12pm with burial to follow at New Crown Cemetery.
