John Phillips

On Thursday December 8, 2022, John Mark Phillips Jr., 42, passed away at his home in Greenwood, Indiana. John was born January 5, 1980, in Beech Grove, Indiana. He is preceded in death by all of his grandparents. John is survived by his mother, Anita Shoptaugh-Fruits (Phil); his father, John Mark Phillips Sr. (Dawn); his beloved fiance, Brittany Daugherty; his daughters, Mia Skye Phillips and Jolene Monroe Phillips; his brother, Bradley McFadden (Chelsea); and several uncles. John graduated from Center Grove High School and went on to receive his bachelor degree from IUPUI in Psychology. John was employed by Kar Auction Services where he was Senior Manager for 6 years.

John enjoyed listening to music especially rock and heavy metal, and playing the guitar. He enjoyed collecting vinyl records, Nintendo video games and other various collectibles of things he loved. He loved going to concerts, horror conventions, taking the family to the beach, and just enjoying time with his friends and family. His two girls were the love of his life.

John was the life of the party wherever he went and liked to have a good time. John left us far too soon and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

A celebration of John's life will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel
