John Paul Morgan was born May 6, 1989 and passed away June 16, 2024 at the age of 35.
John grew up in Danville, Indiana and did all the little boy things as he grew up - baseball, soccer, tennis, skateboarding, biking, scouting, etc. He was usually the comedian of any group, loved to help his grampa in his workshop, had a paper route for a bit and was always ready to play or work with great joy in anything he did. His love for music led him to learn to play the piano and the guitar. He was active in youth group, in show choir and performed in plays in high school where he shared all his talent. He attended the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. He then learned and trained in the culinary industry and worked in different roles in and around Irvington, which was his heart and where he lived for a large chunk of his life. His love for music continued in the way he picked that guitar around a campfire and played those sweet keyboard notes every chance he got. He attended countless music festivals and lived at the Irv house for many years, where he met Annie, as well as a long list of forever friends. He married Annie in 2019 and they shared their love of music with their sweet daughter Gwen. He started at UA local 440 and completed the apprenticeship last year, landing him in a career as a plumber/pipefitter. He was an amazing dad loving Gwennie more than anything, the kindest sweetest guy and a true light in this world.
John is survived by his wife Annie Morgan and daughter Gwenevieve Morgan. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather Penny and Don Bough and sister Jessica Stewart (Adam). His grandparents, Betty Ratliff and Pete and JoAnn Davis, stepsister Cheyenne Bough (Jeff), nieces Emma Jo and Rene, nephews Eli, Jayden and Dylan, as well as countless special family members, cousins, aunts, uncles, and blended family members. The list is long, all survive and mourn this loss.
John is preceded in death by his father Fred Morgan, grandfathers Paul Ratliff and Fred Morgan, and Uncle Ken Ratliff.
He was taken too soon, will never be forgotten and his light will live on in our memories...
