Joanna Sue (Judkins) Harris was born on January 12, 1944 in a back room at Dr. Machledt's office in Greenwood, Indiana. Her parents were Leroy and Mattie Pearl Judkins. She graduated from Clark High School in 1962 and married Robert Harris in 1964.
After 8 years in the Navy, they returned to Rocklane, Indiana. She was the mother of two children, Dana (Harris) Mather and Brent Harris. She was "Grammy Sue" to three grandsons, Graham, Caden, and Eli Mather and one granddaughter, Harper Harris.
She worked 15 years at Regency Place of Greenwood Nursing Facility in administration. She finished her working career in banking, retiring from First Indiana Bank in 2008. She resided at 552 Euclid Avenue, Greenwood, Indiana living with Don Harris. She was known for her love of Elvis, her beautiful paintings, a contagious laugh, and her delicious sugar cream pies and crepes!
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, March 8th, from 2pm to 6pm at the Greenwood Memorial VFW, located at 1842 Veterans Way in Greenwood, Indiana. Come share your favorite memory of Sue. There will be Elvis music playing!!!
