Joann Anthony

Joann Anthony age 71 of Avon, Indiana formerly of Indianapolis passed on October 9, 2023. Born on February 8, 1952, to the late Hershel Lee and Anna Mae (Lollar) Philpott.

She was a devoted mother, sister, pet parent and friend. Her heart was pure and open always showing kindness and caring to everyone she ever met. She endured numerous hardships, heartbreak and pain during her lifetime but is now free having never lost her faith that through her tears and thousands of unspoken words that God heard her prayers.

Joann is survived by her beloved son Ronald C. Piers, Jr. , her grandchildren, two sisters Lois Vanover of Indianapolis, Wanda Little (Kevin) of Gibsonia, PA, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and her cat "Captain Spice".

A celebration of life and interment will be held at a later date.
