Jimmy Wayne Kessinger

Jimmy Wayne Kessinger (James), age 65, passed away peacefully on August 3rd 2021 at his home surrounded by family and friends. A resident of Indianapolis, IN since 6 months old, was born in Loraine County, Ohio on June 30th 1956, to Jim and Martha (Jean) Kessinger. Jimmy retired from the National Roofing Water Proofers & Allied Workers Union after a successful career as a roofer for 26 years. Jimmy was a known jokester, seeing people laugh was part of his caring personality. Besides spending time with family, his grandchildren, and friends, he had a passion for being outdoors, fishing, playing pool, camping, and completing odd and end jobs with his brother Larry.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his long-time partner and companion, Tammy Akers, two daughters, Angela Kessinger and Sarah Richardson, six grandchildren Darien, Aireona, Anyia, Chris, Mason, and Torin, siblings, Larry Kessinger, Kevin (Karen) Kessinger, & Karen (Tim) Hudson. He was survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Monday August 9, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250. Funeral services will directly follow and burial will take place at Washington Park East, 10612 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229.
