Jimmie Lee Jackson (91) of Indianapolis, Indiana, beloved father, who was preceded in death by the love of his life Eron Elizabeth Jackson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Jimmie was born in Belzoni, Mississippi., January 17, 1933 to Ms. Alice Porter and Mr. Kato Jackson. He grew up in Belzoni and as a young man chose to move to Indianapolis, Indiana. He became a Skilled tradesman in drywall, and business. He launched his own business JJ Drywall and became very well known throughout Indianapolis. He married Eron Jackson and took on the role of father to her seven children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Irene Thompson and Rosie Jackson Porter, brothers Willie B . Jackson, W.Q. Thompson, Jack Thompson, and Rosevelt Thompson.

He is survived by his children Sandra Mainer (Shannon), Celeste Anderson, Felicia Hollis Dorsey, Winifred Wood, John A. Hollis, Geri Cushenberry, Kim Campbell (Harry), Chandra Hollis, 16 grands, 28 great-grands, 9 great-great grand children, relatives and friends.

Jimmie loved his Blues, and fishing. He traveled across this country and was known for winning at the slots and his endless memory of highways and interstates. He will always be remembered and missed by his children, family and many friends .
