Jewell Lee Gill Jr.
We thank you Lord for the life of Jewell Lee Gill Jr. You allowed him to bless this world from May 12, 1955, to July 8, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jewell Gill, Sr., and Mildred Gill.
Jewell served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Third Class and truly enjoyed his life’s journey. With a personality bigger than life he loved gaining knowledge. He always said, “I know a little bit about a lot.” This allowed him to be able to hold a conversation with anyone on any subject. His love of God allowed him to remind others of the wonders and love of God. He truly enjoyed all sports, his service in the navy, and caring for others. His big heart allowed him to ensure others were taken care of, because if he had it and you asked you had it as well.
Jewell is survived by his daughter, Alexis Lowers of Rochester, New York; granddaughter, Laque’ja Hill-Pratt and siblings, Henry Mosley, Sharon Jones, Felicia Pittman, Kevan Gill and Vanessa Askew, all of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred Gill, Jewell Gill Sr.; sister, Dorcas Gill; and son, Aaron Gill.
Jewell cherished all of his relationships with parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. No matter the situation he was there. He was loved and is loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He would encourage everyone to gain knowledge to hold your own in any conversation. And never be too proud to ask for help.
