Jerry S. Altes, age 53, lost his battle with cancer on February 28, 2021. Jerry was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 21, 1967 to Edwin Altes and Jacqueline M. (Mapes) Altes Wright. Jerry married Janette Altes on October 3, 1993.
Jerry enjoyed mountain climbing, hiking, golfing, cooking, camping, and gardening.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Altes, and brother, Thomas Altes.
He is survived by his wife, Janette; mother, Jackie; step-father, Gary Wright; son, Thomas Solomon Altes; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Carpenter.
Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care - Harry W. Moore Chapel located at 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Social distancing will be required and masks or face coverings are to be worn at all times.
