Jennifer Sue Mitchell

Jennifer (Dennis) Mitchell passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2024 from a brain tumor. She passed while listening to her one true love, Bruce Springsteen, with her beloved daughters by her side. 

She was born August 4, 1966, to Mary Jo and Gary Lee in Anderson, IN. She graduated from Highland High School and later on in life, obtained her Master’s Degree from Saint Mary of the Woods College. 

 Jenny had a fulfilling career assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, which was her passion in life and one she has passed on to her daughters. Jenny was especially proud of her time working for Henry County United Fund as their director for several years. Outside of work, she was a master crafter and made friend’s and family’s doors more festive with the beautiful wreaths she created. She deeply adored her grandchildren and would shower them with as much love and time with them as possible.

 She is preceded in death by her furry companion, Lola, and her mother Mary Jo Lee. She is survived by Rachel Dennis (Daniel Hoover), Hannah (Michael) Farmer; grandchildren Hunter Conover, Olivia Stapleton, Rowynn Stapleton, and Lucas Farmer; father Gary Lee; brother Michael (Johna) Lee; niece Katelyn (Melissa) Lee, as well as many other friends and family members that loved her dearly. 

 Jenny immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence with her colorful clothes, beautiful hair, and bubbly personality. She loved her many friends and family, and filled her home with warmth and kindness. We would like her celebration of life to be full of vibrancy, color, and love. We will miss her greatly and wish she had more time to accomplish many more achievements.
