Jason Christopher Farmer, 48 of Indianapolis, passed away March 26, 2023.
He was born June 4, 1974 in Norfolk, VA to Nancy Blasius Farmer and James Randall Farmer of Indianapolis.
At the age of seven he was selected to carry the torch on its leg through Bloomington for the National Sports Festival which was held in Indianapolis. In 1987 he participated in the opening ceremony for the 10th Pan American Games.
He attended Northwest High School where he was on the swim team (6th in the city in backstroke as a freshman) and graduated from Ben Davis High School where he was in the MROTC Drill Team.
He became a Journeyman plumber and self-employed handyman. He was always ready to help when someone needed assistance.
He is survived by his daughter, Ami Owens (J T); two granddaughters; a brother, sister, nephew and niece; his mother and father.
