Jason Ammerman

Jason L. Ammerman was a talented, sensitive soul born to Susie and Jerry Ammerman in Beech Grove, Indiana. His second love behind his son, Jude Ammerman, was poetry. Jason was involved with many Indianapolis Poetry organizations including: The Ethridge Knight Foundation, The Midwest Poetry Slam League, and The Reservoir Dogwoods. Jason is the author of three collections of poetry. His most recent through Chatterhouse Press is Battle Scarred. He is also the artist on the spoken word album Revival! Recorded and distributed through Perfect Mix Records

Jason unapologetically loved his friends, family, and God. During his final months on earth, he joined Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. He also was dedicated to raising money for cancer research to give us all a better future. We all owe him our gratitude for striving to make this world a more beautiful place.

Jason's Celebration of Life will be held on Sept. 21st , 12pm-3pm at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church 2015 S Arlington Ave Indianapolis, IN 46203. There will be an open mic 2pm-3pm to share stories of Jason or poems. In leu of flowers, please make a donation to Man Up to Cancer.
